  • Managers! Want to learn how to track staff performance (positive and constructive) by using Microsoft in real-time to avoid delays in the feedback loop?! You will learn tips on HOW and WHEN to track performance in preparation for Annual Performance Reviews, for writing an Opportunity for Success (OFS) when needed, and how to give feedback consistently. It is a best practice to offer regular feedback to your team members year-round and to use electronic tracking (forms and folders on our secure drives) rather than handwritten logs and notes. We will give clear examples on how to use a meeting agenda, meeting notes, and email follow-ups in Outlook to help with communication and performance management.

  • Employees who work with the public often face challenges, including aggressive or frustrated people, and must use a broad range of skills to provide support. This requires understanding the sources of conflict, responding professionally, and setting appropriate boundaries. Recent events remind us of the need to create space for differing opinions. Even in strong disagreement, we must recognize others’ humanity and practice tolerance, respect, and thoughtful communication. Every voice deserves to be heard, and diverse perspectives can be shared without allowing conflict to escalate into hostility. Join Hector Alvarez as he addresses:

    • The dynamics of confrontation

    • Strategies for emotional and physical boundaries

    • Personal and workplace safety strategies

    • Factors that escalate interactions

    • Tolerance of differing opinions and respectful engagement

This training will equip employees to navigate difficult interactions, support clients, and foster a workplace culture where respectful dialogue thrives, even when opinions differ.
